What We Never Delete

How to Cancel Your Subscription

For Regular Monthly/Annual Plans

  1. Log into your account at alttext.ai/subscriptions
  2. Click "Cancel Plan" - this will take you to Stripe (our payment processor)
  3. Follow the cancellation process in Stripe to cancel your subscription
  4. Your plan will remain active until the end of your current billing period

For AppSumo Lifetime Deals

AppSumo lifetime deals cannot be cancelled as they are one-time purchases with lifetime access. Your credits will continue to reset monthly according to your tier allocation.

"Don't need it anymore" - Keep a small plan for occasional use - You can downgrade and upgrade anytime - Your existing alt text continues working on all integrated platforms (except InstantAlt)

Reactivating Your Account

You can reactivate your account at any time by:

  1. Logging back into your account (never deleted)
  2. Selecting a new plan from the Manage Plan option
  3. Your alt text and history will be exactly as you left it

Data Export

Before cancelling, you may want to export your data:

  1. Go to your Image Library at alttext.ai/images
  2. Use the export function to download a CSV of all your alt text
  3. Save integration settings and API keys for future reference

Depends on your integration:

  • Most integrations: Alt text stays permanently in your site's database
  • InstantAlt only: Yes, alt text will stop rendering on your website since it requires an active subscription to display (your alt text remains saved in your account)

Can I get a refund?

Refund policies depend on your payment method: - Credit card payments: Contact our support to discuss your specific situation - AppSumo purchases: Refunds must be requested through AppSumo according to their policy - Unused credits: Generally non-refundable but contact support for special circumstances

What if I change my mind?

You can reactivate anytime! Your account, alt text, and settings are preserved permanently. Simply log in and choose a new plan.

Do I lose my API keys?

No. Your API keys remain in your account and can be used again if you reactivate. However, API calls will fail until you're back on an active plan.

What happens to my custom settings?

All preserved. Your language preferences, keyword settings, and custom configurations remain in your account and will work immediately when you reactivate.

Can I downgrade instead of cancelling?

Yes! This is often better: - Stay active with a smaller, cheaper plan - Keep integrations working for occasional use - Access all features at a lower cost
